Ode to the week !!! ~ In which we have FINALLY moved and get our net back YAY!!!!

I have to say the last few weeks have been a tad OMG!!!

We have moved from Pixie Towers to a wonderful place much closer to the ground O.o for us pixie's without wings the ground is the best place for us !!!

So we are safely ensconsed in Pixies Rest and am busily unpacking boxes as fast as we can as we have  the new craft groups starting asap ... and I sooo can't wait for that next week!!!

However this weekend will be taken up with writing all sorts of loverly craft sheets and making a picket fence for inside our corridor to keep any faelings in one spot and if I am lucky I might jsut be able to get some of my painting done on the walls teeheehee and yes I will post piccies once they are done.

Right now though I am a bit knackered I do have to say ... this week has been a bit rough Agoraphobia wise and to be honest I feel quite drained. this move this week has been a bit of a comedy of errors in many ways but my poor Beloved Himself is also knackered and not very well due to having moved most of our gear by hand on a parcel truck in the rain on some days.

I have to admit though actually being in this space has made things that much better but I have found myself wondering quite seriously "How the heck did we get all this stuff into that teeny ickle flat we had in Pixie Towers????"

I now have a workroom and Homself has an office and the girls have thier room and our room is HUGE .. big enough to have a sitting area with a 3 seater couch in it and the coffee table and we have 2 storage areas and I'm still hard pressed to find room for everything .... tis the weirdest thing ... oh well I'm sure it will be sorted out soon enough ... Monday at the latest HAHAHAA!!!!

On the up side however it looks like we are about to be the proud parents of an allotment here in town thanks to an un happy precense up there who has scared most of the allotment people away after he started walking around nakey !!! I have to say if I'd been up there he would have been on here like a shot!!! Weeelll i figure I haven't got a photo this week and anyone brave enough to sleep at thier allotment and run around nakey in amongst a bunch of women with pitchforks deserves a shot of infamy... it must be said though he has been removed from up there and the ladies and thier eyeballs are safe again.

I don't know about you but I LOVE living in a small town stuff like that happens every day and the joy of now living int he centre of town is we can see it for ourselves if not hear about it within minutes of it happening. Teeheehee

No I do not condone gossip but a bit of town news never hurt anyone!!! Now that I have started helping out at the local charity shop on Friday's I gets more than I ever did (Town news that is NOT gossip) and it's amaizing what the folks round here get up to.

Anywhoo I am now off to my nest I have had a massive week and am a bit knackered and hurting. I did however want to catch up quickly and say things will definately now be back to normal as the internet is back on and all is well here at Pixie's Rest.

Ode to the Week ~ In which I have a fabbytastic week and realise that maybe I can do stuffs i fink I can

Helllooooo Me Loverlies and welcome to Freya's day !!!!!

Well what a week !!! I have to say straight away sorry for being a bit slow with my blog posts this week cos it has been all over the place chaos round here this week !!!

It's been a week of arranging 2 festivals and getting ready for another one. Ice skating dresses and clothes for the festival next week. Sorting our the websites. Fielding calls from revellers and would be stall holders. Paperwork, talking to sponsers, organising accounts, finding camping for festival crew and stall holders. Blog writing and working out new crafts and things around the house.In the middle of all of this, helping out with a family emergency, NO I did NOT make it worse!!! Sooo ner !!!

I started and wrote a little book of Bloo Pixie Wisdom today all I have to do now is put in the pics and I can put it out ready for you to grab a copy of. So hopefully that will be done before I go away next week. Actually might get onto it this weekend. Himself is away tomorrow so I will have a loverly quiet day .. you know the kind you can work on the couch or curled up in bed and eat toast and cup of teas all day!!! mmmm heaven !!!

I have to admit I am feeling alot better than I was earlier this week. I tend to get a tad freaked out when making something new that is special for someone. I tend to worry to the point I give myself a panic attack until it is done and I see a smile on thier face and know they are genuinely happy with it. I have to admit as well because I make my costumes the old way with rolled hems and not using an overlocker because I don't like them. I feel that doing things the old way is better as it gives the seams 4 times more stability than an overlocked hem.

Anywhooo I tend to get a bit wound up, cos I'm not that confident always. Well this week I had been working on a piece with fabric I'm not used to and a pttern I have never put together for a young girl who has worked very hard to make herself well up in iceskating working herself to English team standard!!! There was no way I wanted to mess that up. I do have to say I was a bit of a mess. However when I saw the look on her face when she put it on. It made all the difference it fitted perfick and it looked awesome and she loves it !!! Job done and me calm again !!!

Sometimes I panic for the wrong reasons, sometimes for the right ones, sometimes cos I just does. I think now though after this week I might not panic quite so muchly. It also got me to wanting to make my own tops for the summer. So I figure job well done.

Don't let fear stop you from doing what it is you want to and can do.  It's ok to be scared but don't let it stop you, do it anyway!!! I did !!! If this ickle fraiedyfae can do it i figure you lot can !!!

Ode to the Week ~ In which I bid a fond farewell to the week that has been and leave it where it where it belongs.

Welcome to Freya's Day Me Loverlies!!! WE MADE IT!!! Give yourself a big round of applause and pats on the back and a big bar of choccy to celebrate !!!

If your week has been anything like mine get yourself a loverly glass of something yummy too cos you deserve it!!! For me it's a bucket of coffee cos its that or cordial cos that's all we have. It doesn't matter what it is as long as you have it and it is well known in your environment this is your time!!!

Long story short and no details given but this week has been very very emotionally driven and to be completely honest with you I am exhausted, completely and utterly mental and emotionally drained from it all. In fact to the point where Himself sat me down and told me to snap out of it cos I was not being nice and was in a not fun place at the time. Which I did and hear I am today, 1 more costume further than I was yesterday and with dinner in the oven and lots of excitement all day, like visits from my favourite reptile rescue couple. It was awesomes!!! and yes they will be coming to the Edge of The Moors Faery Festival and bringing some of thier loverly rescued loverlies with them!!! sooo can't wait!!!!

I have a loverly costume job I am doing right now for a loverly young lady in our town who ice skates. You'd probabgly think there are heaps of people making these outfits but apparently not and not only that the ones they get are imported and fall apart which is pretty awful considering the prices they charge BEFORE postage. So it looks like I could be about to get very busy WOOHOO!!! but we shall see. I don't believe in over charging because you can. Kids love to dance and should have the opportunity to do so in whatever form they wish to without thier parents having to sell a kidney in the process. I simply don't have time for dressmakers who rip off thier customers with an attitude of "oh well". I am happy to design and make anything for anyone and always have been because I don't see the point in charging £200 for a leotard with a skirt on it when it takes me less than half a day to run it up. To me that's appauling and such a rip off especially when overlockers are used on stretch fabrics and not rolled hemming. I don't even own an over locker and to be honest I don't need or want one.


All that said however this week I have realised how truly blessed I am, and have learnt a little about myself as well. I don't suffer fools gladly. Well that wasn't news. and what annoys me more is those who have everything yet bitch because it isn't enough. Now I'm sorry but Himself and I right now live on around £85 a week, not because we are tight because that is all we have. End of story. See what you have that doesn't cost money and you will realise exactly how rich you truly are!!! Your outlook on life changes as well to be honest and well speaking for myself it is a much better place to be and much better than Beer Goggles !!!!

To cheer me up this week Himself did something rather special. I don't care if you think I am a loony but I have a couple of little Fae friends that keep me company and hang out and have chosen to stay with me for whatever reason. Let me show you what Himself did for me with the help of Button one of my insanely fabby little pixie friends.

Himself is amazing at finding our Fae friends and helping you to see exactly what they look like!!! This one he did with Button telling him the whole time what to do and what he wanted. I have to admit this almost brought me to tears. It didn't cost him anything just time and he did it to make me smile and THAT My Loverlies is what love is!!!

Anywhoo tis Friday evening and I have lots of taped shows to catch up on and bowl of popcorn awaiting me attention !!!

Ode To The Week ~ In which I prove that Agoraphobics can be just as busy as everyone else !!!

Welcome to Freya's Day me Loverlies and we have made it through to another week YAY!!!!

I have been busier this week than I used to be when I was working full time 2 jobs and with my own catering company and bistro with 2 young kids and foster kids to boot!!!

Don't let anyone tell you because you are agoraphobic you can't get anything done, and certainly don't tell yourself that either. For myself I run a costuming business, a t-shirt design business and now am starting event organising as well, not to mention that I still find time to make our own cleaning products, bread and soy milk and everything else as well.

A normal day for me starts when the alarm goes off at about 7am, this doesn't mean I get up it means that I check all my emails etc and skype with my son, get all the paperwork done and then maybe get up at about 9am and start making bread and yummies for the day at the same time getting brekky ready!!! from there we either get things done in town IF I can make it, if not I get to designing and making calls for the things that need to be done. Orders to complete and events to organise and once lunchtime pops round the bread is ready and warm and yummy!!! The afternoon normally consists of meetings and sewing. Not only filling orders but making stock for when I can get to festivals outside of the events I organise myself.

Thursdays are a huge day for me because when I can I will hop on the free shopping bus and make it a couple of hours right out of my comfort zone in the mega supermarket and then treat myself to something very yummy in the cafe afterwards.

When ever I can I help out my Bootiful Cousin which is where I'm off too this evening ... not far away and in the dark for the most part so it makes life easier.

So please if you are reading this, agoraphobics are NOT lazy, they don't stay inside ALL the time, there are those that do in extreme cases but not permanently. and we are very constructive in our own way.

Don't judge what you know nothing about, and just because you can't see it from the outside doesn't mean someone isn't fighting a battle every moment of everyday.

Apologies ~ In which I get kidnapped by Himself

Hello me Loverlies and welcome to Thors Day

Normally here we would have Bloo on Green... however Himself (my loving and dutiful parnter whom I love and adore) saw fit to kidnap me this evening and force feed me awesome food and and beautiful wine and to be completely honest I'm not sure playing with sharp objects is a good idea at this point!!!

It was utterly wonderful though and as we celerate one of our numerous anniversaries, which in all honesty we haven't been able to do more than save the good ingredients and make a meal at home for the last year and a half. Not that I';m complaining because to be honest they have been some of the loverliest evenings I have ever experienced in my life!!! Tonight was made wonderfully special, as I sit here typing my apology to you for not getting Bloo on Green done this evening my belly is sighing with contentment and my head is swimming a little with utter bliss ... or was that the Rose ??? Either way tonight has been a most wonderful evening and to make sure we don't go to bed squiffy we are going to curl up and watch a movie.

This does mean however that tomorrow you will have 2 POSTS !!! as Himself and I have decided to do the normal Bloo on Green in the morning and the Ode to Friday in the evening.

I just hope you can all wait that long !!!

Ode To The Week ~ In which I survive my first week blogging YAY!!!

WOW!!! Look where we are Freya's Day!!

I MADE IT THROUGH MY FIRST WEEK BLOGGING!!!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!

I am very exctied about this. I have to say that this Blog has done amazing things for me!!! I wake up in the morning thinking what am I going to do today for my Blog and I really have to think. It has given me a focus which is so very important, and it means that I now have a forum for ALL areas of my life in one place. Considering the way my mind works and with everything I want to achieve this has made complete sense of all of it and helped me to calm my brain somewhat.

I also want to thank everyone for thier support in this project of ramblings of mine. I found the stats bit and have watched the numbers climb and climb everyday and have sat here in amazement. I have seen friends post it on Twitter and Facebook and have been utterly amazed at them doing so. As for the beautiful comments left both on my Facebook page and in my inbox have given me the most tremendous boost. Considering this Blog is only 5 days old now I now have had 223 views in that time and I find that extraordinary and very very humbling. I just want to take this moment to say thankyou to each and every one of you YOU ROCK!!!!! xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxooxoxoxoxoxoxoxooxoxooxoxoxoxxoxoxoxoxoxoxooxox

So enough of the mushy stuff here we go with my Ode to the Week :~

Pixie Towers is our home, it is where we live and we love it. It is a 5 room flat 2 bedrooms, a living room, a loverly kitchen (Which is where I have been writing this most of the week) and of course the bathroom. Most of the time our loverly home is a tranquil setting and people come up just to chill out, which I love. However this week it has been turned on it's head with moving the place around a bit. we have moved into the workroom as we have been making space for a couple of extra beds.

I so can't wait to have my own workshop space, I think we are starting to get to the point where we actually need it !!! Mind you for a lazy bum Pixie like me not having to get out of bed to get some work done isn't the worst thing in the world teeheehee. It is awesomes for me cos it means I can work at all hours without feeling bad about it cos I am still in my nest .... technimacally anyways hehehe.

Just so you get a little idea of our workspace/bedroom is like now take a peek at this :~

Oh yesh and this was my treasure trove I found whilst sorting out the room, I went from "I has no fabrics boohoo " To this :~

Yeap that there is all my fabrics that I founded !!!  That haven't got a home yet ... and aren't for already on the go projects and jobs !!!

It's good though cos I have been eyeing it up thinking "hmmm not enough blooo I needs more bloooo" teeheehee :D

So yes it has been all fun and games round here but the job is almost done!!!

We were lucky enough to meet a loverly couple yesterday Jean and Martin who will be playing for us at the Edge of The Moors Faery Festival in July they are loverly loverly peoples and soooo talented, I tell you what you ever want to have the best experience of people in the world start organising events like this cos it truly is an eye opener !!! Amazingly talented people from all over the country and wonderful giving and generous of thier time and effort and everything else, it truly is a wonderful experience for me, and I hope it will be for everyone else as well. If anyone is reading this and wants tickets to the Ball please check out our website we would LOVE to see you at the festival :~

Bloo Pixie Events ~ Edge of The Moors Faery Festival

We have almost sold out of stalls too now and it's just amazing I can't wait to see everyone set up it will AWESOMES!!! Now all I have to do is find a couple of water sprites or mermaids and we is all set !!!

Himself has been utterly awesomes this week as always helping me out in all my crazy plans and supporting each and every one of them. I did tell him that it was jsut as well cos it was in the job description when he signed up teeheehee :D

I have to admit though he does put up with rather alot from me, both with calming my Agoraphobia and putting up with Pixie Tantrums and helping me stand back up when i bend down too far !!!  He truly is awesomes and a real blessing xox

Oh GOOD Grief!!!! all mushy again ugh really !!! I tell you what he truly has turned me into a right Girl!!!

Am very excited also cos Fallen Angel Studios might just be going to ArmadaCon in Plymouth and running workshops ... am very excitementated!!! More about that as and when it happens :D

Well I think that jsut about rounds up the week... I won't know what to do with myself tomorrow since this is a Monday to Friday thing for me... oh yeah get some work done HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! ooooo actually if I do that then maaaybe that will cover my Stitch and Bitch next week .... well me thinkies that is quite the idea ...
